● Birthplace: Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, China
● Age: 20
Liuli, 20 years old, was born in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, China. She is a typical Libra girl with a carefree personality and a hint of romanticism. Her biggest hobby is to study various delicacies, especially hamburgers, from classic cheese to bacon double, each one can ignite her taste buds. Although she has a bit of a “foodie brain”, she is soft-hearted and likes to hold her stuffed pig in a daze. She is a cute and down-to-earth girl. Liuli’s daily life always revolves around food. Her pursuit of life is simple and sincere: a good meal can heal all her little emotions.
Profile
Liuli’s first day at Firefly Burger Joint was a whirlwind of sizzling patties, golden fries, and the intoxicating scent of freshly baked burger buns. As a self-proclaimed foodie with a boundless passion for burgers, every moment felt like a scene from her dreams. By the time her shift ended, her stomach was growling like an impatient beast.
That’s when she noticed The Rule—a small printed notice pinned on the staff bulletin board: “Employees may help themselves to unsold food at the end of the day.” Her eyes sparkled, her heart raced, and before she knew it, she was knee-deep in boxes of leftover burgers, fried chicken, and crispy fries.
In her enthusiastic feast, Liuli was completely lost in the delicious flavors, her cheeks puffed with fried chicken and burger buns. But her culinary bliss was abruptly interrupted when Jiangling, the composed and sharp-eyed store manager, returned to the store earlier than expected to check the day’s accounts.
Jiangling pushed open the kitchen door and froze. There, in the middle of a battlefield of burger wrappers, sauce-stained napkins, and scattered fries, was Liuli. She was mid-bite, attempting to shove an oversized chicken drumstick into her mouth. Her wide eyes met Jiangling’s, and time seemed to stand still.
Liuli froze, her mouth still full of chicken, unable to utter a word. Jiangling slowly walked over, crouched down, and—with an almost surgical precision—gently pulled the chicken bone out from her mouth.
Silence.
Liuli’s face turned scarlet as she swallowed hard. “I-I’m so sorry! I saw the rule… and I thought… I didn’t mean to…” Her voice trembled as tears welled up in her eyes. Convinced she had upset Jiangling beyond repair with her gluttony, she bolted from the kitchen, leaving Jiangling standing amidst the food carnage, utterly baffled.
Later that day, Liuli couldn’t bring herself to return to Firefly Burger Joint. Instead, she asked her best friend, Lian, to help her submit her resignation letter.
Jiangling, still holding the chicken bone, stood in the middle of the empty kitchen, muttering to himself, “Did… did she really eat all of that… by herself?”

The festive season had arrived, painting the streets in shades of red, green, and gold. Twinkling fairy lights adorned every storefront, and the air was filled with the sweet melodies of Christmas carols. Despite the cheerful atmosphere, Liuli couldn’t shake the guilt weighing on her heart.
Sitting cross-legged on her bed, clutching her beloved stuffed pig plushie, she sighed deeply. Across from her, Lian, her ever-supportive best friend, leaned casually against the doorframe with her arms crossed.
“Liuli, you can’t keep hiding forever. Just go apologize properly. It’s Christmas! The perfect time for forgiveness,” Lian said with an encouraging smile.
Liuli nodded weakly. “But… what if he’s still mad? What if—”
Lian waved her hand dismissively. “Nonsense. Bring him a nice gift, smile sincerely, and wear something festive. Christmas vibes always soften people’s hearts.”
The idea seemed simple enough. But when Liuli rummaged through her wardrobe for something ‘festive,’ her hand stopped on a bright red knitted Christmas sweater. It was soft, warm-looking… and incredibly snug. It had fluffy white fur trim and hugged her petite frame tightly.
Liuli, however, was oblivious to how suggestive the sweater actually was. In her mind, it was simply a cheerful Christmas outfit.
Armed with a neatly wrapped gift bag and a heart full of nervous determination, Liuli set off for Firefly Burger Joint. The sweater dress swayed lightly as she walked, and her cheeks were already flushed with anticipation.
The bell above the burger shop’s door chimed softly as she pushed it open. Warm light spilled out, illuminating Jiangling behind the counter as he organized receipts.
He looked up—and froze.
There stood Liuli, clutching her gift bag tightly, her cheeks flushed, her wide eyes shining with determination—and wearing what was, arguably, the most festively daring sweater Jiangling had ever seen.
“Uh… Merry Christmas, Manager Jiangling!” Liuli stammered, her voice trembling slightly.

Merry Christmas
The silence stretched for what felt like an eternity. Jiangling stood frozen, his glasses sliding slightly down his nose, his lips parted as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t.
Liuli’s heart sank. He’s still mad… isn’t he?
Her lips trembled as her eyes grew misty. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, clutching the gift bag tightly in front of her chest. Then, she pouted—her lower lip pushing out slightly, her eyebrows knitting together in a pitiful arc.
“Manager Jiangling… are you still mad at me?” she asked, her voice soft and shaky.
When Jiangling still didn’t respond, Liuli took a small step forward. Her big, round eyes shimmered with unshed tears as she tilted her head slightly to the side.
Slowly, she reached out her small hand and gently tugged at the sleeve of Jiangling’s coat. Her voice softened further, almost to a whisper.
“I… I really didn’t mean to eat so much… I was just so hungry… And the rule said I could…” Her voice broke slightly at the end as she sniffled.
She tugged his sleeve again, her eyes glistening with tears, her lower lip trembling as she looked up at him with an expression so soft and vulnerable that it could have melted an iceberg.
As Liu Li pulled the corner of his clothes tighter and tighter, the movement became larger and larger, the tight-fitting girl killer sweater could no longer cover her chest, and her pink nipples were exposed as it swayed.
Jiangling exhaled, shook his head helplessly, and reached out to gently adjust the hem of Liuli’s slightly askew sweater. His movements were careful.
Jiangling blinked rapidly, his ears turning slightly pink.
“Liuli… I’m not mad at you. Honestly, I was just… amazed. Amazed that such a small girl could eat so much food in one sitting.”
Liuli’s pout deepened slightly. “Really? You’re not just saying that?”
Jiangling let out a soft chuckle. “Really. Now stop looking at me like that… you’re going to make me feel like a villain in some drama.”
The corners of Liuli’s lips finally curled into a relieved smile as she sniffled one last time.
The tension in the air softened, and Jiangling reached out to gently accept the gift bag from her trembling hands.
“Thank you, Liuli. And… Merry Christmas.”
“Yeah!” ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧
Jiangling turned around and picked up a small, neatly wrapped box from behind the counter.
“Here, Liuli. I got you something too. Merry Christmas.”
Liuli’s eyes sparkled with surprise and joy as she accepted the gift. Jiangling continued, “You know, Liuli, you have such a passion for food. Have you ever thought about becoming a food blogger? Sharing your love for burgers and everything delicious with the world?”
Liuli’s face lit up instantly. “A food blogger? That’s such a good idea! I could work with Lian—she’s amazing at cooking, especially burgers!”
Jiangling chuckled, his earlier tension melting away completely. “See? I knew it. You’ll both do great.”
Liuli grabbed the gift, raised her hand, and made a cheerful gesture. “Thank you, Manager Jiang Ling! Merry Christmas!”
Jiangling smiled warmly and replied, “Merry Christmas, little one.”
The warm glow of the burger shop lights reflected in both of their eyes, and in that moment, everything felt just right.
